Make Your Holiday Social Campaign Shine

It’s the holiday season and there’s no better time than now to show some holiday spirit in your social campaign! It’s the perfect time to take your social media campaign to the next level and get your followers feeling merry and bright! Don’t forget to follow the golden 80/20 rule for content generation…even around the holidays, people want that warm, personalized message on their News Feeds, not just promotions or advertisements for your business.

Below, we’ve come up with some festive theme ideas for the commercial industry that you can try out on your Facebook and Twitter pages.

Equipment. Use a fun holiday song and make it unique to fit your business. Our example – The 12 Days of Excavators. Launch a 12-day campaign on your social media sites and feature a variety of excavators and create lyrics to the song specific to excavators. You could even post a few fun holiday equipment videos for each day. On Facebook you could post a video of an excavator digging in snow or a decorated light display of one and add captions to go with the song for each day. On Twitter, you could post a photo and make sure to include a unique hashtag for your campaign, like #The12DaysOfExcavators.12 Days of Excavators

Truck. A great way to get people talking about your campaign is to focus on the audience that gets the most excited for the holidays….KIDS! And of course, their parents can’t help but get in a cheerful mood when their kids are excited! Switch gears and try something like The Coolest Commercial Trucks of 2015: Toy Version. Each day, post some of the latest and most realistic toy trucks for children. You can encourage your followers to vote for their favorite toy model and share their vote on Facebook or retweet with a campaign hashtag on Twitter. Whichever the winning toy was, offer it as a free giveaway for a child that begged for it from Santa this year.Coolest Commercial Trucks
Agriculture. Use an countdown advent calendar to get your followers involved. Create a hashtag for your campaign, such as #FarmersAdvent, and ask your followers on Facebook or Twitter to post festive holiday photos using agriculture equipment with your hashtag. Choose a different photo from your followers for each day as a countdown to your favorite holiday. You can also use Instagram as a platform for a contest like this. Start a new account for followers to post their holiday agriculture photos to your advent calendar! Encourage your employees to participate so you can get the most exposure for your campaign.Farmer's Advent

The holidays are a great time for your business to have some fun on social media, so think outside of the box to come up with festive content this season! What are some of the holiday campaigns you have tried or seen? We’d love to know about them!
